It
is located on the east side of Mersing, Johor Bahru. Aur Island is actually a
part of an island that is made up with itself and four others. They are Dayang
Islands, Pinang Islands, Lang Islands and lastly Pemanggil Islands. They are
all part of the Johor Marine Park.
Aur Islands have the corals, lagoons and
offshore pools make it a tourist attraction.
Aur Islands near Dayang Islands
was separated from Dayang Island by narrow channel of about 400meter. Aur
Island has very clear waters because of the distance from mainland Penisular
Malaysia. However, the Aur Islands is smaller compared to the other four
islands mentione. The way that you want to go there is drive yourself to
Mersing Jetty which is located in Johor Bahru. It will take you approximately 3
hours if you are from Singapore whereas it will take almost 6 hours if you
drive from Kuala Lumpur to Mersing. Then, there will be a boat waiting at the
jetty to bring you to the island. From there, it will be another 4-5 hours to
reach Aur Island. It will be longer if the sea is rough during the
transportation.
Aur
Islands have their own history which is, in 1804 battle between the British and
French troops took place in the Island Napoleonic Wars. After a thousand years,
this islands become a famous places when attract many tourist came for visit. There
are many activities one can do on the island. Although it is small in size, it
has multiple spots to choose from for scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, picnic
and swimming.
In Aur Islands, have a many species marine life such as
Manta-Ray, Barracudas, Whitetip Shark, Titan Triggerfish, Bumphead Parrot Fish.
Aura Islands is very suitable to anybody that needs relaxing and like the
natural environment.

the Al-Quran verse Surah Al-Baqarah :164“ sesungguhnya dalam penciptaanlangit
dan bumi, silih bergantinya malam dan siang, bahtera yang berlayar di laut
membawa apa yang berguna bagi manusia”. Surah Al Maidah:96 “Dihalalkan bagimu
buruan laut dan makanan(yang berasal) dari laut sebagai makan yang lazat
bagimu, dan bagi orang-orang yang dalam perjalanan.”
