RAWA ISLAND

Allah Ta'ala says,
‘’أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ الْفُلْكَ تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِنِعْمَةِ اللَّهِ لِيُرِيَكُمْ مِنْ آَيَاتِهِ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآَيَاتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ’’

" Do you not see that the ships sail through the ocean by the grace of God , to show him to you some of the signs ( of power ) Him . Verily in this is truly there are signs for everyone very excited , thankful . "

From the Al-Quran (QS. Luqman: 31) can conclude that It is Allah who 
subjected all that God has shown his greatness by allowing wood and 
iron ( ship ) floating on the water which is ocean. of water , 
God made ​​the sea , from the ocean , the gods made ​​the island .
The islands that exist make this a show of greatness of God and 
has showered the sea for sustenance. So, I want to introduce a 
little bit about one of the island that Allah had made which is 
Rawa Island, Johor in Malaysia.


Rawa Island is one of the easy getaway to have a cozy environment 
with family and friends. it is located at Mersing,Johor. It has 
beautiful beaches with water that is still very green and lush. 
In addition, the soft white sand add to the beauty of its own. 


The panorama presented makes this beach has a special 
attraction for the tourists. Not only a beautiful color 
combination of green and blue  sea water, people that 
go there also will be surprised by many white dove habitat 
that wandering by the beach. Not only that, as far as 
the eye can see, there are some groups that adorn the 
beautiful coral sea. Plus, the panorama presented the 
beauty of the trees and beautiful beaches. 
Rawa Island were owned by the Johor Sultanate, the island 
has been sensitively developed with just two small resorts 
which is Rawa Safaris and Alang’s Rawa. By history, 
Rawa Island were found by Tunku Mohammed Archibald 
when he were fishing on that area. 


There are many activities that we can do there, for 
example swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, 
relaxing, take a nap and many more. 





There are two ways to there. First by boat and second by ferries. 
All boats and ferries depart from Mersing. When booking  stay on 
Rawa, a speedboat transfer between Mersing and Rawa can be 
included in package. The departure time is dependent on availability 
of boats, tidal conditions and the size of your group and cost about 
RM 35-45.  Alternatively, ferry services between Mersing and Tioman
Island can make a stop at Rawa depend on request. 
Tickets cost RM 45 each way and ferries leave every one to two hours 
between 09:30 and 17:30.
 
Tips:
  • Rawa Island closes during the monsoon season (November to March)
  • Tidal conditions may influence the departure time of your boat
  • Ferries are often delayed and there are sometimes cancellations.
  • Book your ferry ticket in advance if travelling over weekends, public holidays and Singaporean and Malaysian school holidays.

PULAU BESAR



Big island is a is an island off the east coast of Johor, Malaysia. You can go this island through by boat from Mersing town. The island's highest point rises some 845 feet (258 m) above the sea level. Big Island known as a Pulau Babi Besar.This island only 100 people stay there .



The island, which is surrounded by many Island. Pulau Tengah & Pulau Hujung is a near island with Pulau Besar.

So you can search at maps to know the direction to go Pulau Besar. The maps actually shows sketches like pigs.



So this is Pulau Tengah. Pulau Tengah is a private Island and from Pulau Besar to go Pulau tengah take time in 90 minutes.
  




Pulau Hujung also private island that can’t do any activities because  the Government has gazetted it as a marine park to protect around 60 species of marine life from any activities that can harm their natural habitats within 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) around the island.

AUR ISLANDS


It is located on the east side of Mersing, Johor Bahru. Aur Island is actually a part of an island that is made up with itself and four others. They are Dayang Islands, Pinang Islands, Lang Islands and lastly Pemanggil Islands. They are all part of the Johor Marine Park.



 Aur Islands have the corals, lagoons and offshore pools make it a tourist attraction.


Aur Islands near Dayang Islands was separated from Dayang Island by narrow channel of about 400meter. Aur Island has very clear waters because of the distance from mainland Penisular Malaysia. However, the Aur Islands is smaller compared to the other four islands mentione. The way that you want to go there is drive yourself to Mersing Jetty which is located in Johor Bahru. It will take you approximately 3 hours if you are from Singapore whereas it will take almost 6 hours if you drive from Kuala Lumpur to Mersing. Then, there will be a boat waiting at the jetty to bring you to the island. From there, it will be another 4-5 hours to reach Aur Island. It will be longer if the sea is rough during the transportation.


Aur Islands have their own history which is, in 1804 battle between the British and French troops took place in the Island Napoleonic Wars. After a thousand years, this islands become a famous places when attract many tourist came for visit. There are many activities one can do on the island. Although it is small in size, it has multiple spots to choose from for scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, picnic and swimming. 





In Aur Islands, have a many species marine life such as Manta-Ray, Barracudas, Whitetip Shark, Titan Triggerfish, Bumphead Parrot Fish. Aura Islands is very suitable to anybody that needs relaxing and like the natural environment.


From the Al-Quran verse Surah Al-Baqarah :164“ sesungguhnya dalam penciptaanlangit dan bumi, silih bergantinya malam dan siang, bahtera yang berlayar di laut membawa apa yang berguna bagi manusia”. Surah Al Maidah:96 “Dihalalkan bagimu buruan laut dan makanan(yang berasal) dari laut sebagai makan yang lazat bagimu, dan bagi orang-orang yang dalam perjalanan.”

TIGER ISLAND

The Amazing of Tiger Island in Mersing

“It is He who had created for you all things that are on earth; moreover His design comprehended the heavens, for He gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things He had perfect knowledge.”
(QS:Al-Baqarah:29)

From this al-Quran, on the ocean many kind of creation Allah had create from marine life to an island in the middle of the ocean. 

So I would love to introduce and share to you about one island in Mersing Johor, Malaysia which is Tiger Island.



Tiger Island or locally called “ Pulau Harimau “ that is located in Johor Bahru that is Mersing district. The island that located in South China Sea known as the Tiger Island because the island is shaped like a tiger. There are two parts of Tiger Island, the front and back, where the back of this island is a cave. It’s easy for anyone who want to see the wildlife under the crystal clear water.



For those who are like to explore when snorkeling and hiking, you can try to visit this island and you will find your “ private salt water swimming pool “ which was founded by a cavern inside the island. For your additional information, this island know was owned by Sultan Johor and closed for public visit. Here are some view of Tiger Island:



DAYANG ISLAND


Dayang Island is located on the west side of Johor Bahru. Actually, Dayang Island is a part of Aur Island, Lang Island and Pemanggil Island. 




The main attraction and the famous attraction at there is scuba diving and snorkelling. For you information, most tourists visit there for scuba diving and also snorkelling. Who are never diving or never know how to diving, Dayang Island offer a diving course to them. Then, the dive sites usually a visibility of over 15m. 


Besides that, tourist also can perform underwater photography while snorkelling or scuba diving. 




The important thing that you should know is at Dayang Island also have chaletsand resorts are mostly with air conditioned and fine services, also have a small shop inside the resort which provides for chips, candy bars and snacks. Dayang Island is one of the Islandwhich is very suitable as a holiday destination and is ideal for those who love diving. Enjoy your diving at there.





PEMANGGIL ISLAND

Pemanggil island sits 45 km east of mersing, the take-off point to most islands off the southern coast of peninsular malaysia. It is situated next to tioman, requires a 4- to 5-hour ride by boat from mersing.


As with most inhabited islands in malaysian waters, pemanggil has its fair share of history, mystery and spooky tales. It all starts with Batu Buau(The Buau Rock). Almost a century ago, a boat carrying an Indonesian family came by these waters. One night, the father had a dream and in this dream he heard a voice beckoning him to settle on the island. The voice as was believed, belonged to the guardian of the island. The island is fishermen’s best-kept secret. It is known for deep-sea fishing and good hunting grounds for marlins and mackerels.


This remote island is also famed for the beauty and abundance of marine life within its clear emerald waters. Its other magnetic charms include endless stretches of white sandy beaches and awesome snorkeling spots. Fishing and diving is excellent here.




For the adventurous, the hill outcrop of the island makes for a challenging climb and the summit holds an inherent scenic beauty of the far reaching ocean.



On the north-eastern coast of pemanggil island is teluk lancang, an isolated bay where coconut trees grow in abundance amidst the tropical vegetation. At the heart of the island, there is a huge boulder known locally as batu buau which locals regard as sacred. It would definitely not go unnoticed and is clearly visible as far as 50 km from the south of tioman island
